A new source of funding for renewable energy projects, which is available to charities, not-for-profit organisations and community cooperatives has become available. It could help you to bridge a funding gap or upgrade to larger capacity or more efficient equipment.
The funding is provided by PURE the Clean Planet Trust, a climate change charity that works closely with BRE. PURE provides low interest loans to community renewable energy projects that are eligible for the Feed-in Tariff and/or the Renewable Heat Incentive. To date, PURE has issued around £250k of loans to charities and community groups across the UK and it aims to issue this amount of loans per quarter.
